We all want a smartphone, but in reality they are overpriced. After you obtain the phone, there is the cost of network and case and screen protector. So when it comes to a middle class family, there is no way that they can afford such costly phones. There has to be a way to be part of the club without spending the outrageous prices of the high-class phones and still receive a quality product. But no need to worry because now there are smartphones in the market that are exactly like that and some even better than the $700-800 smartphones out there.
On August 15, 2011, as you may know, Google purchased Motorola and acquired all of its patents and innovations. So now the biggest company the world has ever seen is backing Motorola. Soon after the acquisition the company came out with a phone dubbed as “Moto x”. This phone was supposedly the new I-Phone destroyer. This particular phone did not sell as hot as it was anticipated. It has everything a top smartphone should have but its only fault was its price. It was north of $600 at the time of its release. This Google/Motorola fusion of a phone possesses 4G LTE capability, AMOLED 1080p display, 2GB RAM, Gorilla Glass Corning 3, with the loved 4.4 KitKat. So what Motorola did was create another; But this time, a more customer appealing phone. The product was named the “Moto g”, now the first generation Moto g. This phone was and still is the mother of all budget phones. Motorola made this phone with the thought to make the best possible phone in the least possible budget. What’s so special about the Moto G you may ask? This pocket-friendly phone comes with 4.4 KitKat now guaranteed Android L, 16GB internal storage with 1GB of RAM, Gorilla Glass Corning 3, 4.5 inch 720p display, and believe it or not, yes, a Snapdragon 400 CPU. Hearing all of this, what if I told you that the price of the king of low end smartphones will only set you back about $200 that too unlocked? That’s right. Now the only downside of this beast of a phone is the camera and the lack of micro SD card expansion. This phone is sans the camera quality that we have come to expect in smartphones. The Moto G features a 5MP rear shooter and a 1.2MP front shooter. To make up for the phone being unable to expand storage, it comes with 16GB inbuilt storage with the option of using an OTG cable in the case of the user needing more storage. If you, the consumer, are willing to look past the small flaws that that this phone has, there is a great phone coming your way. A phone that has almost everything and is the price of about 1/3 of the higher end flagships is certainly a deal to capture. All in all, I, without a doubt, believe that the Moto G is the best phone that one can purchase for the price of $200.
